My hand holding the box for the Marathon controller.
Totally forgot to share that my Marathon controller arrived! I haven't opened it yet. I'll do that tomorrow.

I don't know! Even if you want to give people an accurate feeling of randomly dropping somewhere, you only ever do the tutorial twice if you played the server slam as well.
Google is really firing on all cylinders lately, huh?
After playing the tutorial twice now in Marathon, I realized that there are multiple different versions of the tutorial that you can randomly get?! That's wild.
the biggest QOL love it would need imo would be redesigning the weapon assembly menu. Having it all in once place instead of going out of the blade menu to look at the handle menu, equipping/removing gems, etc.
Oh god, my vault is already full. My kingdom for unstable diodes!
A screenshot from a post game screen for Marathon showing that I survived, got some good loot, money and equipment.
Decent 3rd run. Got a lot of faction XP as well. Met some pretty cool teammates through group fill and ResetEra, too.
You might actually be pleasantly surprised by how much you enjoy an extraction shooter (I know I was pretty surprised in myself)
Give it a long hard think over. If you do pick it up, I will absolutely play with you.
Pretty much. Maybe some better tutorialization on how weapon affinity works? Very minor things.

One of my all time faves! Played through it again a couple years ago, and it was still fantastic, just needs a little QOL in the menus.
I remember when I was building a PC for the first time after being all in on console for a couple decades, and I was looking at parts with my friend and I was like "wait...do people not need sound cards anymore?"
He got a good laugh out of that.
I thankfully followed the IRQ recommendations in the manual quite rigorously.
This list could change depending on the day you ask me, because it's always going to be hard to choose just 9 games. But here we go!
I'm from that same era. I remember my ICQ UIN. A lot of my teen years were on IRC. I remember assigning IRQ ports for sound and extended/expanded RAM when installing DOS games.
Reading that reply brought back a lot of memories.
And that's extraction shooters in a nutshell! Arc Raiders had an unusually high exfil rate for an extraction shooter (I think it's around 75-78%?)
Marathon's during the server slam was 48%.
I watched a great video about how in these games, a personal 40% exfil rate is considered really good.
LMAO amazing
This is Marathon Experience shell death for the first time 99.2% of players have this achievement
I'm glad Bungie is hammering home that dying is a natural part of playing the game, and you shouldn't consider yourself a bad player if you die. This is Marathon.
Very first run, matchmade group with no mics, got a full crew kill. We later died to UESC before getting to extract. :(
Isn't it?! She's trying her best to pretend like it's not a big deal but I know it's important🎶

Cake obtained. Four layer chocolate cake. I think she might be mad at me for like, 5 seconds, that I bought such a large cake for just the two of us to eat, but hopefully she will be overcome with joy and happiness after that.
She's a total badass. I'm very proud of her.
At least sales numbers only came out a week after the game was out. CCU is available from minute 1.
I don't even think CCU should be consumer facing visible. All it's done is promote tribalism and populist purchasing decisions.
My mom is out of town accepting an award for her achievement in her work in healthcare. I'm on my way to the supermarket to buy her a celebratory chocolate cake.
When I'm back, it's Marathon time.
Some of my most favorite games of all time are games that literally sold 2000 copies ever.
They will never know the magic of discovering a game no one knows about.
I'm also losing pfps and names on posts, but that's a small issue that will get ironed out.
Well, looking at Blue sky, the numbers are still accurate, so it's very clearly an appview issue. Just gonna sit tight....
