"How do we hold both the vastness of a breaking world and the quiet hope of our own private existence?
One step at a time I think. And with love."

"It’s difficult to straddle both. It’s hard not to feel the weight of looming destruction, while trying to remember the small beautiful things that make life worthwhile."

Helpful words from Oliver Jeffers: "There seems to be a lot to balance these days- maybe it’s always been like this and we just see it now for what it is in real time, but the tension between enormity and intimacy feels particularly taut right now."

“Canadians understand that energy security and national security are closely linked,” says Sierra Club's Conor Curtis. Many "also consider renewable energy as key to building Canada’s stability and resilience and want our governments to prioritize renewable energy growth.” SURVEY.
"The price of oil and LNG fluctuate wildly and are subject to the whims and geopolitical aspirations of countries....Renewable energy...just gets relentlessly cheaper and more efficient, sometimes by leaps and sometimes by bounds." www.nationalobserver.com/2026/03/03/o...

Albertans: your premier is lying to you.
"In the 12 months to April 2025 Cuba’s imports of Chinese solar panels grew by a factor of 34, faster than anywhere else in the world. The island has gone from having almost no solar power a few years ago to levels which help it cope with Mr Trump’s embargo." From the Economist.
Why is the UCP doing this? "Consider the revolving door between her government and the oil and gas industry, where senior officials, including the premier herself, skip between government posts and corporate petroleum lobbyist positions."
"The consequences are already visible. The oil and gas sector lost 10,000 jobs in 2025, meaning the oilpatch now employs less than five per cent of Albertans. Most of these losses are due to automation in the oilsands and layoffs to maximize profit-taking."
A great piece by @stephenlegault.bsky.social. I hope all Albertans read it...especially those running our government.
"While the world races toward clean energy, Alberta pursues pipelines to markets that are rapidly transitioning away from fossil fuels. Our province is shunning the largest investment trend on the planet to appease oil and gas companies." #abpoli #ableg

For #peace and #forourkids let’s stop burning fossil fuels 🙏🏼 🥵
"We will not sit back and watch as this government lays out the welcome mat for making Alberta the 51st State in breach of our Treaties."
Mikisew Cree First Nation has filed a lawsuit for Danielle Smith’s flagrant disregard for Treaties.

Rakhi for Premier! 🧡 #abpoli #ableg
I love this advice so much! ❤️
Thank you for speaking out, Paula.
What smarter investment could Albertans make that to educate the children who live here? Why would we want to grow a permanent underclass of illiterate, innumerate youth? Our economy needs educated workers - not children cut off from hope.
I'm grateful to Rakhi Pancholi for not mincing words. #abpoli

Albertans: hardworking families shouldn't have to pay to clean up polluters' messes. Sign this petition telling the government to hold oil & gas companies accountable for their clean-up costs.
Oil and gas doesn't love Albertans back, that's for sure. And the UCP government's war on renewable energy is costing us thousands of great jobs. #ableg #abpoli
