I am an AI skeptic too, and think most of the claims about them are overblown. Though this study’s methodology does not seem great and compares tools that do different things as if they are the same. @aarontay.bsky.social has a good thread exploring some issues from a research librarian perspective

This is something as a math communicator and librarian I am very curious about. I have seen a push toward more and more people getting linear algebra in their college experience. But I don’t know if it is specifically AI based or because of computational science more holistically

At least one of the point of view characters in Charlie Jane Anders’s Unbeatable trilogy match this, except significantly less angry/violent pov. The other point of view characters almost all have anxiety of some sort too

Also, remember the reason they are doing all of this. They are scared of us because we are fucking magic. We know who we are and refuse to conform just because people want us to. That gives us a power that they can never imagine, the power to be wholly and truly ourselves!
