Wait shit, I've got too much Waterloo bias in my brain π
Whoa hi! Too bad I'm out of town. Maybe you can get @shannduin.ca to sneak you into the Google Waterloo campus π
This sign is brand new afaik
Yikes that doesn't look great. I'll file this internally.
I keep spotting the generic train icon show up in places where I swear had the colored line circles before... Or am I imagining things
Is TTC signage getting... Worse!?
What lines? All trains of which lines?? π
AI writing is like store-bought cake. It might be perfectly fine, maybe even as good as something you could make yourself, but itβs weird to give it to someone and say itβs homemade
How do you come up with all of these
I'm a very "learn by example" person when it comes to programming. If the documentation doesn't have inline examples for using their API or library I probably won't use it and will look at a framework that does.
I like how their definition of "way later" is 9pm.
In other parts of the world stores are routinely open until 10 or even later.
This is a welcome change but... Why is this a policy in the first place? Let the stores self-decide their business hours based on demand.
Everyone is an artist, you may just not know your medium
Yes at least once a month, around the 1st of the month
Dropout had been my absolute favorite streaming purchase of all time
I've been out of Europe for long enough that I forgot how to order a glass of water in a restaurant
Turns out "I'll just have water" ends up being a fancy bottle of reverse-osmosis water and a Β£5 charge on your bill
I just wanted water from the tap π
I feel like I'm still jet lagged π΄
Huh... I suppose it is a mechanical calculator!
There are tons of books explaining how to do math with an abacus, so yes
If you haven't yet had the pleasure of listening to the OBCR arrangement of that song, highly recommend

I like how that can describe both a human brain, and an agentic application
Yeah that's the thing... Kind words, but without the impossibility of going public, they are just that, words.
Years ago, Jason Citron was still not intending on Discord going public either. Times change.
Conversely I'm starting to lose patience for apps that keep siphoning money away from me (yeah, I'm looking at you, Adobe Lightroom)
It feels so great to support apps that offer free lifetime updates with no subscriptions. I will happily throw more money upfront!
I do not regret having spent money on @aseprite.org, @unraid.net, or @flstudio.bsky.social, and I know I'll keep receiving updates for years and years
You're awesome. I'll take another read in a bit!
Part of the outrage is not just the hypothetical "what if... age-verification data leaks" but rather a "Discord had that happen already"
The timing of this rollout shortly after this is... Iffy at best imho
But also, because nuance is good...
www.theguardian.com/media/2025/o...
I agree with parts of this, but "Discord is doing this because they're forced to" doesn't actually explain the global rollout. If that was the case they'd only roll it out where needed by law.
As a Canadian, this should not affect me at all. But it will.
Officially heading to Vegas in April! π©οΈ
Early bird pricing is active until end-of-day February 13, so make sure to get your pass early if you're thinking of going!

Do you remember it by heart to this day?
Age verification? I had to tune my TV to channel 3 to play video games.
