If it helps, this is my typical table setup, but I've recently redesigned the project as described here -> chronodex.carrd.co for an upcoming Kickstarter, so the branding and table chaff needs to be redone.

When your Lord Captain was literally the last option alive
One-evening paint up of a custom portrait for a Rogue Trader run through with my favourite meow-meow, Owen. Shamelessly stolen background from an in-game screenshot because I've got a 8mo old, little time, and less honor. #roguetrader
Noman Ryne, my favourite terrible guy. Proper canon lore too as far as FFG was concerned, check him out (he's horrible!)
Included in this batch is a new sketch, unrelated. This time a designer ab-human dogman, one of many who pilot the Armigers of my partner's less-than-loyalist Knight House.
For the record, Cutter's fate was something that happened in-game. Talon had gotten assigned a little adjunct who I immediately imprinted on - and therefore bestowed our critical supply of demo packs. I hadn't expected our GM to wing him with a critical plasma blast to the face.
I figured instead of just posting these in blocks, it might be nice to intermix them with background sketches and related scribbles old and new - so here's the next three along with the most recent iteration of Talon - as a paladin of Tyr / dad of my current DnD fella. Also, poor Cutter.
Diff caffe ef dyeee!
Thanks! Nomad, on my iPad! It's surprisingly good and easy to pick up - I've maybe used it twice in anger, but I've used other tools in the past.
Now for something a bit different - a DND character I'm playing with some frands and some turn-arounds of the head I sculpted for his model - since nothing on hero forge came close. #sketch #dnd
It was at this point we returned to a somewhat more traditional writing style, and the pages became slightly less chaotic for it. Also, the detail creep begins, and really won't end until about page 20. Also, fun fact: The ratling (Marxmann) and Lt Brinton were the same player!
'the before times, before spirits were broken'
It was a million years ago, seemingly!
Cosplay with working claw built off a flexisensor in the glove - and deployed at Anthrocon... of all places.
Times spent at Adepticon with Richard, David, Clint, Ann, and all the rest are some of my happiest memories of my 20s. Really makes my heart ache to look back on it.
One of several charity paintings I'd done for Adepticon over the years, this one is a pun on 'Boy with Apple', except with a Magos holding a skull.
Finally got my ducks in a row and deleted twitter - which comes with some heartache, some videos, friends and such being stuck on there and now lost to time. I'll repost some of the old art that was only there eventually, but for now I'll share some lovely old stuff from another life.
Pal!!
Oh man, I think I know the one. Imagine having had a c-sec there then getting kind of lost the next morning going for a coffee, lmao.
Oh man! I forgot I even did those, what a blast from the past!
Alas, no. He's very understandably given up social media. I likely would too if I didn't need a way to host a portfolio for various art-related pursuits / keep up with the art my friends do
First fun fact: the first half's Cyrillic was written with Google translator and it shows. Fans helped me sort out the script later, but apolz for the early pages. Also, each player contributed to the script for the first 20 pages or so, which was an avant garde approach to writing to say the least
About 10 years ago I drew a very long 40k comic based off an Only War RPG that, via domino meme, got me a job in the UK, a partner, and a daughter. The original site died, alas, but I think this is as good a place as any to repost it. Will post more each week!
Welcome to my abhorrent obsession with dogshit Felanid interpretations. Stay tuned for more... #warhammer #felanid #40k
A very silly comic about a daft man I'm rotating in my head 24/7 - Part 1 of 2 #comic #illustration
Finally getting some of my favourite old pieces and some nifty things I've not posted before uploaded. Here's a run at testing just how well compressed these images are. This is from an anthology I did with a bunch of my mates! @slowedmountains.bsky.social is the only one I know on here tho...
Bon voyage, Buck!
Panel 4's got one of the most horrible guys I've ever drawn, IMO he hurts to look at a little bit.
Panel 3's one of my favourites in the series if only because I really got to show off the pretty iridescent brocade pattern I'd set up for Buck. Such a fashionable lout.
