To add to that:
It is not known who won silver and bronze in double, meaning France won 7/9 medals in a sport they where the only ones participating in.
There was a total of one paying spectator who watched the event.
Here is a fun fact: France has ever single Olympic medal in Croquet simply because it was held for only one year and they where the only country to compete in the sport.

Could someone at @microsoft.com please tell me how they managed to mess up freaking NOTEPAD so badly that it got a 8.8 CVE?

AI is finally Turing complete
New year, new blog-design, new me, old me. I wrote down some of my thoughts, plans, ideas and wishes down to read them again in a year.

I have been getting login-attempts on my @adobe.com account for some time now so I wanted to add good ol' 2FA to it. Turns out Adobe in all of their wisdom only offers 2FA using email, SMS and their own Access App. It is not possible to use a typical auth-app to secure your account. Unbelievable
Especially for newcomers it could be useful to see if a resource targets people with a lot of experience in Svelte or people who are not so deep into the framework or entirely new to it. Filtering for that could be a very useful feature
What was the main reason to switch to Hugo over other SSG's?
This has been something I have been wanting for a long time for my gallery and now its so easy. Adding the feature was super easy and now everything looks so much better gallery.davidmoll.net

What stands out to me is that the internet keeps on growing. You'd think that everyone and their dog is now browsing the web but it turns out that almost a third of everyone alive is still mostly offline

Just a few days ago I was talking with a friend about how annoying it is that HA only has per-device default dashboards, what are the changes π Fantastic work as always

It has been now 3 1/2 months since OpenAI demo'd GPT5 fixing a bug in their own repository. They said they are going to merge it right after the presentation is over. They still haven't and now also resorted to locking down the thread to only contributors.

Travelling with Deutsche Bahn is always something new. I had everything as reasons for delays, floods, damaged trains/tracks, bomb-defusals, no train-driver, evacuation of stranded trains, hurricanes, all of it. But we never had to stop because there was a gas leak ahead on the road.
Until now...
We landed on the moon with ~4kib of RAM and now we regressed so much that one of the biggest companies in the world cannot do better than using 1GB of RAM while idling...

Big thanks to the archive for allowing me to see all of those amazing parts of the city's history, it was an amazing experience
Along this historic document the archive also shows a rich history of the city, from books keeping tracks of fights from the 18th century, maps showing how the city grew over time, historic paper with the emperors crest printed on it and the archives itself where documents are kept for safekeeping
I had today the honor of seeing Aachen's oldest document kept in the cities archive, a letter from Emperor Heinrich II. who gifted some land to a monastery in 1018
I just got a rejection-email for a position that I applied to over three months ago that I completly forgot about. I mean at least they didn't ghost me but come on guys...
