@cloudflare.social has code mode which is similar: blog.cloudflare.com/code-mode/
This is a mix of using mcp tools and then the agent writing its own code to get you the answer. The speed up is achieved by giving the agent a sandbox to execute that code, instead of the requirement of spinning up a container to run that code.
The agent then uses the mcp to get search for bike rides from 2025. It then writes a script to run, along with the data and passes it to a method that runs monty to then run that code and return the result or raise an exception.
Exploring @pydantic.dev monty with my strava mcp server. I understand the value of having a readily available code runner for the agent. Since agents are trained to generate code and interpret output, they can answer questions like - "what was my highest speed in cycling in 2025? which ride?"
A meme image of Professor Farnsworth from Futurama, standing by a wall yellow wall with a chalkboard on it, holding a piece of chalk. The chalkboard next to him reads "Good News, Everyone!" Professor Farnsworth's head has been replaced by a PyOhio logo.
Good News Everyone!

Me when I prompt my AI agent these days: βAsk me questions. Use TDDβ. Massive change in output.
If you need a TA, please let me know.
Great podcast episode by @syntax.fm with @mitsuhiko.at and @mariozechner.at about pi. Just cutting through the hype around AI coding harness. Key takeaway for me is to just keep it simple! youtu.be/AEmHcFH1UgQ?...
Thank you for all your work for the community. See you at the conference!
The joey speaking french meme but with Claude not running commands using uv

Image with PyOhio 2025 Logo on the left, with text above and to the right saying, "PyOhio is in 10 Days". The PyOhio 2025 Logo has A snake that has swallowed the state of Ohio looking off to the left with its tongue out. The body of the snake is zig-zagging folded over itself a couple of times. On the middle, righthand side of the snake is the year, 2025, and on the bottom lefthand side is PyOhio. The artists signature, JMW, is in small lettering on the right hand side of the snake, a bit higher up than the word "PyOhio" on the logo.
It's Time to Register for #PyOhio!
We order Badges on Monday so if you haven't registered yet, try to do so by Sunday Night.

Iβm here too!!
If you're at #PyConUS I would LOVE to talk to you about my various projects - I'll be stood next to my poster in Hall A tomorrow from 10am to 1pm - it's the one with the "teenage bedroom" aesthetic, I decided to fill all available space with photos of things I like simonwillison.net/2025/May/17/...
The word βloginβ comes from throwing a log attached to a rope with knots overboard a ship to see how many knots go by over time (see also, knots as speed). Youβd then put that info in the βlog book.β Youβd βlog inβ on a regular basis. This wasnβt from 1959, it was likely from 1689! Etymology baby!
The @pycon.us Poster Session isn't until tomorrow morning but a lot of the posters are already up! So if you have time, head over to Hall A and check them out early, and then stop back tomorrow to ask questions and talk to the authors. #PyConUS

#PyConUS
My suggestion related to this morning's #PyConUS diversity panel: A simple way to help with inclusion is to sit at lunch with someone who doesn't seem like you, and introduce yourself. It's easy, it's free, and those small connections grow and welcome people in.
