Today we welcomed foster father Archimedes, a great horned owl, into an aviary Megan and I sponsored at the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis. Archie, as they call him, will be joined by owlets in need of care, lessons, and love. This is also an homage to my late father, who adopted me as a baby.
