WIP: Autocomplete on the sign in page means you don't have to type out your entire username.
To those of you who have been following along, suffice it to say @parksavvy.app is not ready yet.
I still consider this a success. I am so proud of the work that I've done in the last 2 weeks. I overcame huge hurdles, and the finish line is in sight.
Thanks for the encouragement, and stay tuned β€οΈ
Just some small changes today, after several successes earlier in the week. Added a loading indicator to the Post button, since it takes a second or two to submit.
Just spent the last several hours making nearly imperceptible edits to the Post Feed UI. Toggle back and forth to see the changes.
In the wise words of Tamara, "hey so it actually only has to make sense to me for me to do it and I don't feel like explaining it to anyone else"

We're getting closer, y'all π
Actual data being written to my #atproto repo using a custom lexicon
One huge step closer to @parksavvy.app becoming a reality π₯Ή
Playing around with using a color scale on the rating slider for @parksavvy.app, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
On one hand, it helps standardize ratings (red: "I didn't like it", yellow: "It was okay", green: "I liked it"). On the other hand, maybe it's a bit much.
Open to feedback!
Coming soon: Ratings!
You'll be able to rate attractions, restaurants, haunted houses, and more, and see how your ratings compare with others.
Took a little break over the holidays, but back at work on the post creation modal.
Still very much a WIP, but this feels like the right direction.
WIP: playing around with post creation modals for @parksavvy.app
If you have a Bluesky account, then you already have a Parksavvy account.
Back at work on the social feed!
This probably looks pretty familiar, but it works completely differently. Instead of using Bluesky posts, weβll be using a custom #atproto lexicon.
Basically, itβs the best of both worlds: your data is still yours, but Parksavvy posts will be more Parksavvy-y.
πΊοΈ Youβll be able to view the Map in grayscale, color, or with satellite imagery!
πΊοΈ Big improvements to the mobile UX on the Map page
Pretty important since itβs most handy when used from inside the parks π
Sign in screen for Parksavvy with a Username input field and a button that reads βSign in with Blueskyβ
So much has happened since the last update, but not too much to show unfortunatelyβ¦
But peep that Bluesky branding on the Sign In page!
Pulling in real posts from Bluesky!
Parksavvy runs on the AT Protocol.
That means if you have a Bluesky account, you already have a Parksavvy account.
Sneak Peek: Our Map feature will make it easy to find any location you're looking for!
You can view locations on an interactive map or in a list, search titles by keyword, filter by location type, or filter by area.

Any guesses where this is?

Thanks π
Small progress update!
Actually, there have been a ton of changes since the last update, but theyβve mostly been on the backend, so thereβs not much to seeβ¦
BUT peep the new brand color!
Well, Iβll be! Itβs a uΜΆnΜΆiΜΆcΜΆoΜΆrΜΆnΜΆ post feed pulling real data from Bluesky.
