Currently building Ranksy - Shopify App Store optimization tool (ranksy.otb.agency)
And Donna - AI powered meeting preparation assistant (meetdonna.io)
Since moving here, I've noticed that the content I see is more calm. There are more builders and fewer (almost none) left and right postsβless violence and politics. And no WP drama.
It's a fresh account, and I'm picky about who I follow, but it's a refreshing experience.
I'm lovin' it.
Holy shit. Just a week here and Iβve already started muting political words.
You need to follow me first. I canβt dm you right not
I thought it will be on par with cursor. But one really annoying thing is that their autocomplete function is fast, adds too much code and brings confusion. That often breaks my flow. I hope theyβll work in that.
Still have any? Iβd like one too
Not sure if you can call it grinding but Iβm working in DIY monitor light.
Hereβs a working prototype
Thatβs one tool I donβt want to try. Feels like a shiny new tool Iβd spend weeks playing and tweaking around. Time is a precious resource right now
Spending the evening building a DIY monitor light.
Iβve had eyes on Xiaomi Light Bar for far too long but never wanted to spend money in case I donβt need it.
Instead Iβve decided to build one with copper pipes.
But as any product, before building it we need a prototype.
This validates the idea.
I agree. Iβve got into the Laravel by watching his courses and building the along the way.
Heβs a great educator

Linear is awesome, but it can be daunting. I tried using it for anything other than development and I couldn't find it a good fit for marketing and admin stuff.
What are you using to track projects and tasks?
For projects solo projects Iβm all in on Notion.
It recently Iβve started using asana in a team and oh boy. They improved a lot since the last time Iβve used them. Not just a task management anymore.

Donna AI short brief suitable for Slack and text messages
This morning, I'm working on short briefs.
These will be sent via text messages or to the user's Slack.
Things are coming up great.
What brief do you prefer?

The briefs are working great. The process is stable.
It's a good time to work on the prompts to improve the language and structure to fit our target customers.
One change later. The API refuses to work with data that's been working before.
Time to git revert and go back to the drawing board :D
Hey Frank. Feel free to message me
I would add: Reddit is a goldmine but you canβt treat it like a storefront. Spend some time engaging to others posts. Be regular and then post. Donβt spam all subreddit with same copy paste messages. Adjust to the audience. And find subreddits most relevant to your product.

Yeah, from creators side things can be tricky but also it can be great discovery channel. Ask me again in one year if starter packs are valuable or not π
So, I've joined the wagon and built a new starter pack for Shopify App folks.
You probably know most of the folks, but it's a good starting point for new people here to build their feed

I think it's great for what they are intended for.
Finding a starter pack for your industry or interests is a great way to kickstart your journey here.
It might become clout chasing to get on the list, but for new users, it's a great way to find good, relevant content right from the start.
and plan to add CRM integrations, and previous email conversations to improve briefs.
