This is why you don't merge layers. Groups exist for a reason..

A few days ago, i managed to render a part of a drawing really well, but since i was basically just messing around with layers and colors and then merged everything together, I don't remember how i got to the finished piece.

So I have no way of knowing how to render the rest the same way!
