Every time a person calls someone a 'trans activist' as some kind of 'gotcha', (like they wont call you a trans person, you're a trans activist)... i feel "oh, so you're a racist white woman activist" or smth works in response.

Not to mention that the patriarchy hurts men too- stuff like in divorce, even when the man would be the more capable parent custody often goes to the woman because it is assumed as the mother, she's the better parent. When men are with their kids, "oh, you're babysitting today?"

Exactly, you have to be the "right" kind of man. And they say we don't have to put up with social requirements of how to look and act but WE DO??? It's gotten better but there are still tons of people - men and women- who will mock a man for crying, or make fun of him for being SA'd.

Exactly. I always urge people to flip the genders before they make a statement about men, and think about how they REALLY sound. I often hear ppl say it's awful you have to remind men "your mom is a woman", but we have to do the same to women often.

Seriously... no difference between her and any other person who tried to convince people that a group of individuals with a particular trait are to blame for their problems. Godawful.

I still cringe every time I see artists, even queer ones, celebrating or making fanart for her cuz like... To this day I have not seen her come out openly in support of the queer/trans community and it gives me a lot of pause.

I didn't even have any trans characters at the time so it was weird and unprompted, aside from the fact that *I* was trans. I did find out this artist is still very religious, so I avoid the hell out of them still. I honestly wish I still had my old DA accnt and the messages, bc it grossed me out.

I still think alot about the time I asked an artist I admire if I could make an OC of one of her cool, shapeshifty alien species. She said yes! BUT!!! They can't be trans OR gay because in THEIR world everything is actually 'perfect'.
