Time is money …

I'm happy to announce that I will be speaking about Oracle GI 26ai and Oracle Database Exadata @ Azure at DOAG Database ’26. Hope to see you there ;) #DOAGDB2026

Using Oracle Wallet With External Certificates | isdba

While waiting for the 26ai download to appear, I took time to write something about external certificates and keys in the oracle wallet.

So the Oracle January ’26 patch update note is out now – let’s see when the on-prem download will be available.

I can only think of one customer project in the last 16 years where a callcenter db with 10s of thousands of client connections made use of it.

Yeah and it looks like Zed isn't as resource hungry on the server like VSCode.

Total verkehrte Welt! Süßkram ist bei uns die Ausnahme …

A two-part X (Twitter) post by Hunter Leath, showing the "life comes fast at you" concept through his use of AI coding assistants like Devin or Claude. The top, more recent post says: "an interesting update: the team is starting to move away from AI coding completely (devin/claude/etc) because it's so much harder to review the AI code than writing things themselves". The bottom, older quoted post says: "just found out that since this, i've become a top 50 user of Devin globally, now pushing ~60 PRs a day. AMA."

From top AI coding user globally to completely stop using it because it's so much harder to review AI code than write it myself. And they say all software developers jobs will be replaced by LLM. Life comes fast at you. 🤣

Nice that they are working on the issues. Sad there‘s nothing about the ASR assets where a replacement is still missing.

No idea anyone?

Yeah, that was probably missed. Many complaints about missing favorites too where I roam. Hope the experience will improve in the next weeks. Getting such a big change out isn't the easiest game though … remember the old Flash based interface after Metalink?

Old doc links work if you use the right URL. Then they redirect me to the new KB article. The difference is that you don't use the DocContentDisplay?id=xxx face but DocumentDisplay?id=xxx face. Example: support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/...

Hey folks, since we have the shiny new MOS now, does anybody know where the ASR enabled systems went?

Yeah, already found that new KB<Number> thing and it's bad that there's no compatibility with old numbers. The old links still seem to work and redirect you to the new articles. e.g. support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/...

Might look more modern, but how to find the location of support notes like 888828.1? Seems they are moved to new KBXXXXX articles.
