In this first session (1/3) we will do a close reading of an excerpt from The AI Con by Emily Bender and Alex Hanna. Through our discussion an analysis of the text, we will identify key issues raised by AI and proposals for how to address them. Looking forward to dig in and see where it takes us!

There's a lot of talk of AI being anti-human, or at the very least anti-Humanities, but this is missing the point. The AI assemblage is fine with both people and pedagogies as long as they are docile. What AI is anti, and what it undermines, is any trendency to refuse or revolt.
