"you" was originally the plural form of the word, and I wonder what effect that has had for us since we lost the use of those singular-specific words(thee/thou).
It's so strange to me, to suggest that "love" (why the need to put it in quotes?) is somehow opposed to giving your life to Jesus. My response to this is just most of 1 John. I would recommend reading 1 John every day for 30 days.
