PSA to academics posting threads about your paper here: you can (and should) post the link to the paper in the first post. Your X/Twitter brain rot have have you thinking otherwise, but please free yourself of that. (Also you can call them 'blue-prints' if you want).

I've got a handful of bags remaining of the Honduras Yojoa washed Geisha coffee we dropped Friday... and, as an experiment, I'm going to FLASH SALE them right here, right now at a big discount -- $16
If you've ever wanted to try our beans, have at it!

"you" was originally the plural form of the word, and I wonder what effect that has had for us since we lost the use of those singular-specific words(thee/thou).
It's so strange to me, to suggest that "love" (why the need to put it in quotes?) is somehow opposed to giving your life to Jesus. My response to this is just most of 1 John. I would recommend reading 1 John every day for 30 days.
I, a southern Californian, have also been imagining Australia as kind of a βbig Californiaβ, and your statements are the closest Iβve ever heard to confirming that idea.
The full clip, including McKellen's setup of the scene, is here, along with info about the riots (Evil May Day) and the text of the speech itself. kottke.org/26/02/the-st...

Sleeping on a dragonβs hoard with greedy, dragonish thoughts in his heart, he had become a dragon himself.
(The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C. S. Lewis)
I was thinking about this book recently too, but It's been 20+ years since I've read it. I don't remember the Gender bits.
I was just recently thinking about That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis and talking to my husband about what I remembered of the severed head part. I might be due for a re-read as it's probably been over 20 years.

I was sliding toward a book slump, but now Violet Thistlewaite Is Not a Villain Anymore by Emily Krempholtz is working for me. Thank you, cozy fantasy.

I think I have also read six. I keep trying to quote Tehanu.

I've never been prouder of the people of Minnesota.
"My husband complains about the cold," the man said. "Can you teach me a spell to keep him warm?"
"I can teach you to bind hair into a net to catch heat," the wizard said, "using arcane counting and a pair of fine wands."
After a while, the man said "Isn't this knitting?"
"This, too, is magic."

In case you needed to see something NOT terrible tonight, we millennials will get to relive Cool Runnings as grown-ups!
I didn't know about the miniseries, but I'm very familiar with the Stephen Sondheim musical.
This worked for me.
"Head to the settings gear at the top right, then find "All Settings." Scroll until you see "Workspace smart features" and tap "Manage Workspace smart feature settings." You'll see the toggle for "Smart features in Google Workspace."

Hungry Bear?
Iβm excited to see that you were able to use your domain handle!
A pencil and marker sketch of Benoit Blanc from Wake Up Dead Man, except he's a teddy bear. He wears a tan plaid suit, light blue shirt, and navy tie. His fur is light tan with cream on his paws, muzzle, and ear linings. His eyes are the same blue as his shirt. Next to him are the words "Bearnoit Blanc" and "Wake Up Hibernating Bear".
Someone commission me to make them a Bearnoit Blanc.
Iβve heard something about a bottomless pit.
Silly hobbies are what the internet is all about.
I watched Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery with my husband and teen daughter, and it was fantastic.
Our daughter hadn't seen the other Knives Out movies, but it was no problem because of their standalone nature.
