I try to have some item to cure skin outbreak on hand considering there's a couple points where I do 3+ races in a row and run the risk of running into that a lot

I always buy any stat manuals or scrolls, but for the items that increase training levels specifically I only focus speed/wit

I try to save the grey cleat hammers for G1's and save at least 3 of the gold hammers for the climax races, if I get over 3 then I'll use them on G1 races

When it comes to how to use items im still kinda experimenting with that and havent looked at many guides yet but lucky charm + ankle weights + the megaphone synergies well. I try to save that for when I get a good friendship training usually during summer

Go for support cards that give you race bonus because the entire scenario is built around races, mainly focus winning G1s and sometimes go for G2s if you dont really got anything else going on that turn, and hope the shop gives you good items
