….I’m sure there could be a dispute, and that may well vary federations to federation. But I think clubs will go with whatever their player wants to do. It’s a somewhat common occurrence, especially at the youth levels. International football remains very important even with its disruption.
….the 2026 women’s Asian Cup has players missing 1-5 matches depending on how far they make it into the competition, and their return to play rest schedule.
….the original Spring 2026 WAFCON had roughly 5 matches penned to be away with national teams.
Last year’s WAFCON was played during the NWSL’s summer break, as was Copa America Femenina and the Euros.
Official: WAFCON 2026 has been postponed until July 25th — August 16th.
For NWSL stars Temwa Chawinga and Barbra Banda, that could mean missing 7 league matches each.

Another kit I adored was the Chicago Stars' kit. A home run design. Someone else said it somewhere, but it has an old-school feel without feeling dated or a cheap imitation of a throwback.
