Samantha Crain on stage at the Union Chapel in London. She is playing acoustic guitar and singing. Drummer and bassist are also visible on stage. There are various lights and circular stained glass window behind.
And here she is, “Ridin’ Out the Storm”.

A view along the River Thames. A large stately (Cliveden House) is centrally above the river. The banks to right and left are wooded, some trees in leaf, others not yet. The sky above is clear blue and reflected in the water, which is flowing fast.
Lovely day for a visit to #NationalTrust Cliveden Estate.
A strong flow on the Thames after all the recent rain.

A monochrome and slightly blurred image of woodland. Distinct trees left, right and centre. Light foreground, with paths leading away left and right.
Woodland ICM in black and white.
Trying out something different for capture and processing. Not sure where it’s going but I think I like it.

A photo, mostly of sky. A number of different types of cloud are visible, some dark, some white. The blue sky is darker towards the top of the image. In the foreground is a band of dark fields and trees. The moon is visible near top-centre.
Today felt a bit brighter.
A day of sunshine and showers with varied and fast-moving #clouds. The moon put in an appearance too for this #scape.

A common european frog in a pond. The top of its head is above the surface, the rest of its body is visible under the water. There is a large mass of frogspawn beside the frog. The water is quite clear and some pond plants and leaf litter are visible.
Well, the frogs have decided it’s Spring!

A soft focus image of a purple crocus, close up. The stamens are bright orange and look a bit like a pineapple in shape. The background is very blurred, mostly dark green, with hints of surrounding flowers.
Another soft-focus crocus, for #ShareMondays2026 and #FSPrintMonday

Close image of a crocus flower viewed from above. The petals are white and purple striped, the stamens are orange.
The photo was captured using a lensbaby velvet lens which gives a shallow, soft and smooth focus.
After weeks of rain the sun came out this afternoon and the crocus flowers in the garden opened up to welcome it.
I took my lensbaby velvet lens out to capture some. It gives a lovely delicate softness, and shallow focus.
I think this will do for #StunDay

I’d like to find a space like a virtual coffee shop with a small group of regulars I could get to know and become friends with.

I hate the influencers out to sell things or brainwash people. The damage to society is awful.
Agree about the loneliness & noise. Apparently I follow over 600 here but probably only interacted with a dozen more than once.

The circumstances in which the offence may be committed are broad and the conduct which may give rise to it is diverse. A summary of its elements must be considered on the basis of the contents of the preceding paragraphs. The elements of the offence of misconduct in a public office are:
1. A public officer acting as such (paragraph 54).
2. Wilfully neglects to perform his duty and/or wilfully misconducts himself (paragraphs 28, 30, 45 and 55).
3. To such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder (paragraphs 46 and 56 to 59).
4. Without reasonable excuse or justification (paragraph 60).
As with other criminal charges, it will be for the judge to decide whether there is evidence capable of establishing guilt of the offence and, if so, for the jury to decide whether the offence is proved.
So as to inform debate and promote the public understanding of law, these are the four elements of the offence of Misconduct in Public Office.

Best SM experiences I’ve had were the mentorship circles on G+. Small, focused, with lots of cross interactions. You could become friends.

Guess I’d better interact with this one!
I saw your post last night Lotus and it’s been on my mind since.
Entirely agree with you. And most SM interactions are fleeting. Like walking through a city and just nodding or saying hi to a few of those you pass.

A hornbeam tree that was coppiced in the past, resulting in several trunks growing from the base. The image was captured with intentional camera movement (icm) to show the twists and form of the trunks while reducing the detail.

Not had any problems or heard of anything similar. I did see a post from Bluesky safety saying a lot of accounts got mis-flagged for review, could be related?

A monochrome silhouette image of tree branches against a light grey sky. The branches are thickest at bottom left, dwindling to twigs at top right. A corvid perches near centre, facing to the right.
This was just asking to be a silhouette.
I’m not sure on the bird ID. Certainly a corvid, likely a jackdaw as there are lots around, but could be a crow or rook. I think the tree is an oak, but again tricky at distance & at this time of year.

Three western roe deer are foraging in woodland.
Oh deer!
Finally got a chance to observe the local roe deer, while having my proper camera and long lens.
There were 4 in the group but I didn’t get them all in frame. They were aware of me but didn’t seem inclined to run off this time. Hopefully they’ll get used to my presence.

It’s been a wet week so far and my regular footpath has turned to inches of mud and water in places.
