A local wild cherry tree is in bloom and catches the afternoon sun. In a few months the cherries will be ready to eat :)

Ordered! Missed the first one.

A common european frog in a pond. The top of its head is above the surface, the rest of its body is visible under the water. There is a large mass of frogspawn beside the frog. The water is quite clear and some pond plants and leaf litter are visible.

Well, the frogs have decided it’s Spring!

After weeks of rain the sun came out this afternoon and the crocus flowers in the garden opened up to welcome it.

I took my lensbaby velvet lens out to capture some. It gives a lovely delicate softness, and shallow focus.

I’d like to find a space like a virtual coffee shop with a small group of regulars I could get to know and become friends with.

I hate the influencers out to sell things or brainwash people. The damage to society is awful.

Agree about the loneliness & noise. Apparently I follow over 600 here but probably only interacted with a dozen more than once.

The circumstances in which the offence may be committed are broad and the conduct which may give rise to it is diverse. A summary of its elements must be considered on the basis of the contents of the preceding paragraphs. The elements of the offence of misconduct in a public office are: 1. A public officer acting as such (paragraph 54). 2. Wilfully neglects to perform his duty and/or wilfully misconducts himself (paragraphs 28, 30, 45 and 55). 3. To such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder (paragraphs 46 and 56 to 59). 4. Without reasonable excuse or justification (paragraph 60). As with other criminal charges, it will be for the judge to decide whether there is evidence capable of establishing guilt of the offence and, if so, for the jury to decide whether the offence is proved.

So as to inform debate and promote the public understanding of law, these are the four elements of the offence of Misconduct in Public Office.

A hornbeam tree that was coppiced in the past, resulting in several trunks growing from the base. The image was captured with intentional camera movement (icm) to show the twists and form of the trunks while reducing the detail.

Not had any problems or heard of anything similar. I did see a post from Bluesky safety saying a lot of accounts got mis-flagged for review, could be related?

I’m not sure on the bird ID. Certainly a corvid, likely a jackdaw as there are lots around, but could be a crow or rook. I think the tree is an oak, but again tricky at distance & at this time of year.

Three western roe deer are foraging in woodland.

Finally got a chance to observe the local roe deer, while having my proper camera and long lens.

There were 4 in the group but I didn’t get them all in frame. They were aware of me but didn’t seem inclined to run off this time. Hopefully they’ll get used to my presence.
