Smile is one of my favorite horror franchises. Parker Finn is so good at ramping up tension and delivering scares, the atmosphere is amazing and though it does lose steam towards the end, the ending sticks for me and sets it apart from other films with similar plots.

Besides a couple good jump scares this one was kind of a snore fest for me. Bad creature design, some abysmal dialogue and a storyline that never really finds a flow between the overarching metaphor, jumping in and out of flashbacks and the lack of tension built.

Growing up, my Dad was a big Bond fan. We would always tune in to the Thanksgiving marathons Spike TV would have on but i've never watched the Craig films. Casino Royale manages to be both a good reintroduction to the character and modernize the things that make Bond Bond.

I think Cold Storage largely works because of its big three cast members (Keery, Campbell, Neeson) it doesn't stand up very well to some of the greatest creature features of all time, but it does manage to be a fun time and be a decent watch.

Come meet my monsters! All of my work is available for free on my Ko-fi page. Plenty of twisted tales to give you nightmares. Ghosts, devils, fleshy monsters, and there's even a vampire buried here somewhere.
Stay Spooky, everybody.

Might be my retirement plan fr
Yeah just quite a bit quieter haha
Romanticizing the idea of driving around the country aimlessly and waking up in a new place every morning again.
Hate to play devils advocate but youโre cool and you deserve it
I've come to warn you about the self destructive tendency to self isolate when things get difficult
they have spoken
I get that! Donโt Torture a Duckling has some shocking sequences but I donโt remember there being a whole lot of gore. Itโs much more murder mystery than a splatter fest
It's The Beyond for me BUT I do enjoy City of The Living Dead, New York Ripper AND Don't Torture a Duckling a whole lot too!
Undertone looks like someone saw that one jumpscare from the first "Smile" and said....but what if there was a whole movie about this??
Still here for it though
I think this would shut down rude behavior real quick ๐

Hey man, we donโt play about that Costco special ๐
โI will fucking kill youโ
It feels like the fifth Monday in a week full of Mondays tbh
Me too dude! I had to just pick my favorite variants but I wanted all of them ๐
I agree 1000% ๐ฎโ๐จ
โRetail therapyโ but itโs just me ordering/preordering the available issues of the Smile prequel comic
Was going to say itโs been a long week then I remembered itโs only Monday .-.
One of the greatest songs ever tbh
I fail to see the problem here haha
Mine is all random bs posts
One such example is one that simply says โthe pissetry machineโ
The atmosphere, score and direction are fantastic. One of the most beautiful films Iโve ever seen set wise and uses colors in a tremendous way
