If you can't find the source, you can at least remove it, Audacity's got lowpass and noise filters and either/both will likely work.
On an analog system, I'd start chasing the mic cable and see if there was anything introducing noise, but if this is a USB mic then the only analog parts of the system are inside the mic itself. If moving the mic changes the hum, it's too close to something like a power transformer.
