OMG, a festival of musicians using the handheld M8 device. Wish I could experience this.
Musician friends, which music streaming distributor can be used for classic music — incl. Apple Classical — and is one-time payment?
(CD Baby stopped supporting Apple Classical. I’m not a fan of CD Baby anyway)
Was lovely to visit @sickhouse-nl.bsky.social a while a go. Go check them out if you can!
Zebra 3 – ArpeggiosEven though Zebra 3 doesn't have a dedicated arpeggiator yet, you can create arpeggio-like performances!
Zebralette 3 is a free (yes, FREE!) single oscillator plucked from the mothership and embedded within a minimal synth environment: ADSR and MSEG envelopes, two LFOs, modulation matrix, delay and reverb effects...

New podcast epsisode is out! Terzij de Horde and Teardrinker, playing Tivoli this saturday, speak with writer and philosopher @saaf.bsky.social about making music in the face of fascism and ecological destruction. Listen to it here: www.tivolivredenburg.nl/our-breath-i...
Nice! I was just looking at Jack Dorsey’s bitchat mesh app too (iOS Beta is full), very cool too.
Ever in need of the sound of a Dutch emergency vehicle? I just uploaded it to Freesound. Sample license: Public Domain (CC0).

Today is Freesound Day. 🌟 With a great programme, to visit or stream.
The event includes a talk about some of the inspirations behind Soundsystem for Silence, the immersive installation I co-create with Ricky van Broekhoven and Nikolai Gillissen (Myubio collective).
Albert 🙏 I was happy to discover your writing about Soundsystem for Silence. Thank you.

"This allows you to, for example, render to many displays whilst simultaneously controlling a grid of robots and with nano second accuracy from a nuc or raspberry pi; or create tiny embedded devices that handle everything, from audio, to rendering to custom circuits."
Let's explain:

2. When booting a MacBook with an external screen plugged in, it first shows the login screen on the laptop screen. So you start typing in your password. But then, it suddenly activates your external monitor, and won't let you type for like 3-5 seconds. Annoying and a waste of time.
That being said, I still think a lot of essentials should be made public, or banned from commercial exploitation, as we have done with tap water in the Netherlands. And it would be good to produce 75% of all food within 500 square km. That would incentivize innovation and reduce neoliberalism.
Good points. It depends on implementation I think, could be done in new ways… but they’d probably still be cash-related. I think a cash UBI would definitely be best. Least bureaucratic. But it would still be based on the (dynamic) costs of those basic needs… (1/2)
The smallest apartment I had (rented) was my favourite one. In Amsterdam. Only two rooms (living-sleeping-kitchen & toilet-shower). Windows on both sides.
Not sure I understand what you mean, but my view on a UBI is that it could be fully in kind, AKA free food, healthcare, housing and public transport. Incl. basic equipment, heating etc. So all basics are free and not market driven.
Thank you! 😄
Lol this photo still making the rounds. I never expected the photo would go viral. A friend of mine asked if he could put it on Reddit (and 9GAG?) and it blew up very quickly!

Async (Paris Arc French flag) @0xasync No mom it's not a "messy pile of clothes on my chair" it's an L1 cache for fast random access to my frequently used clothes in O(1) time. It needs to be big to avoid expensive chache misses (looking in my closet). I NEED to be minimizing latency. This is important to me. Please.
Lol yup. But they’re still not clear. Vagueness is of course deliberate in business and politics.

4 These quantum patterns can also be formulas, algorithms. And in quantum computing they are trying to discover these algorithms. So far, only tiny bits of it have been discovered, hence quantum computers still hardly have any applications.
