I normally devour books, but my anxiety has been so high, I can only deal with my favorite comfort reads right now. I've had the same ebooks/audiobooks on repeat for most of the year.

My 17 yr old w/dyslexia is *devastated* that he will never be able to read all the books his brother and I read simply because he reads slowly. But he reads deeply and thoughtfully and asks the best questions when we discuss books. That's better than any performative number.

I read more when I'm anxious, too!
