Siegwardβs payoff, as in the big moment and what it means for the boss fight, is probably my favourite in the series, but itβs definitely an unearned next to Siegmeyer.

Last day in my job and I tried to buy the team at my coffee shop some drinks thanks for the morning pick-me-up and bantz, and the result is that I didnβt do that and instead got given a free coffee.
Every game that logs me in has a Toast sensor.
Please resist the urge to be excited about the idea of a new Xbox and look at what Microsoft does as a whole.
They are making the world worse in a billion different ways and theyβve just given the keys to their gaming division to an AI evangelist. Itβs going to be a *shitshow*.
A comic style sketch of Sif the Great Grey Wolf from Dark Souls.
Very unhappy with it, but I tried a Sif sketch over lunch.
Might start again with using the roughs later.

Coincidentally, my little trilogy replay has had me back on the art train!
This was meant to be a quote-post. Lmao.
I am dogshit at art, but doing the thing is the valuable part of doing the art.
For a second I thought the stationary shop had started ripping off Ikea.
Officeworks has a canteen whuut?
(Iβm kidding. I like owning physical copies of games I love but donβt care if itβs sealed or not.)
Iβm sorry, you called?

I replayed DS2 last month/this month, and there was a βWarning, toxic womanβ message in front of a chest with one of these in it (near the Kingβs door in Forest of the Fallen Giants?).
(I honestly donβt know enough about the trial to know if it was funny or sexism)
In May '25, a beloved Australian games website was sold off. It went dark then, a month later, rose from the dead but stuffed full of gambling links and AI authors.
It wasn't the first time, or the last time, this exact thing had happened. And it's still happening.
My months-long investigation π
I realise this thread has the structure of a LinkedIn post. Sorry about that.
Since I dropped out of the games writing scene (something I miss terribly but no longer have energy for), Iβm unburdened, free of that mentality and, this time around, Iβm savouring every second.
It feels like itβll stick this time because I no longer have an artificial mental barrier in the way.
I realise now it probably wasnβt the game; it was me. When it launched, I still felt pressure to keep up with latest releases, therefore its size was a barrier; something I had to push through to be free of, rather than enjoy.
The result was a game I know I enjoyed but remembered very little about.
Previously, I called Elden Ring a game I enjoyed but would never replay due to its size. Like, it was all great, but there was just *too much* of it. So much I didnβt even consider the DLC viable.
A few years later and here I am, replaying it anyway.
My favourite armour. Always end up with it in NG+.

The OST for the Lord of the Rings trilogy on vinyl.
A treat for winning a new job, which I start in a month.

Fire keepers.

βAI super legendβ = in on the grift.
And thatβs double replays of each entry in the Dark Souls trilogy done (annoyingly I forgot to beat Vendrick on my second run so Iβm missing DS2βs walk-away ending).
Next time I replay these, Iβll run with magic builds for the first time ever.
Installing Elden Ring on PC as we speak.

Darkeater Midir is the only boss in the Dark Souls trilogy Iβd never managed to soloβ¦ In my original playthrough of DS3, I spent *hours* trying and failing, and ended up calling in another player.
Tonight, however, I got him down on the third attempt on my own. Feels magic.
