Gov. Evers’ letter to Wisconsin’s congressional delegation
Gov. Evers’ letter to Wisconsin’s congressional delegation
If Congress fails to act, virtually all hemp products will be banned by November. Consumable hemp has a $700 million economic impact in Wisconsin—this could put jobs at risk.
I'm urging federal leaders to fix this problem and protect our farmers and producers. Read my letter ⬇️

President Trump’s erratic trade wars and reckless—and illegal—tariff taxes are hurting Wisconsin working families, farmers, manufacturers, and small business owners, and jacking up prices at the grocery store for Wisconsin families and seniors. Hard-working families here in Wisconsin and across our country are paying the price for Trump’s tariff taxes, costing Americans nearly $200 billion last year alone. Time and again, the Trump Administration continues to blatantly ignore our constitutional checks and balances, and Republicans in Congress not only aren’t doing anything to stop him—they’re helping him. Congress cannot continue to let this continued overreach of power go unchecked. Americans are concerned about rising costs and putting food on the table to feed their families, and on-again-off-again tariff taxes are only making things harder. Wisconsin families shouldn’t be saddled with the cost of the president’s illegal tariff taxes, and that’s why we’re headed to court to stop him
President Trump’s reckless—and illegal—tariff taxes are hurting Wisconsin’s working families and our most critical industries.
We’re headed to court to stop him. My statement ⬇️

Wisconsin has fair, safe, and secure elections thanks in large part to our local election heroes, hard-working neighbors like Toya and the good folks in Shorewood!
Next time you cast your ballot be sure to thank the folks who make it happen.

I’m calling the Legislature into Special Session on April 14th to ban partisan gerrymandering once and for all.
We have a responsibility to make sure Wisconsinites never have to live under some of the most gerrymandered legislative maps in America ever again. Let's get it done.

Republican or Democrat or otherwise, we don't want rigged maps in Wisconsin.
The people should get to choose their elected leaders, not the other way around. I'm calling to ban partisan gerrymandering in Wisconsin, and I'm urging lawmakers to put politics aside and join me.

While Wisconsinites finally have fair maps today, if the Legislature doesn’t act now, our maps could go right back to being rigged. Wisconsinites could go right back to living under some of the most undemocratic maps in America. Again.
Folks, we cannot go back.

But here's the rub: New maps are redrawn every 10 years, and because Wisconsin doesn’t have a permanent nonpartisan redistricting process in place, Wisconsinites have no guarantee that we’ll still have fair maps after the next U.S. Census, especially once I’m no longer governor.

Two years ago, I signed fair maps into law, ending a decade of Wisconsinites living under some of the most gerrymandered legislative maps in America. And we've already seen how fair maps force lawmakers to work together, find compromise, and get good things done for Wisconsin.

The President has been illegally raising the price of your groceries for over a year, and now he’s doubling down on his disastrous trade war. This only sends the message that he is not focused or even trying to lower your costs.

ICYMI: Wisconsin is joining a lawsuit to fight the Trump Administration's dangerous and harmful new vaccine schedule for our kids.

This is not a dictatorship. No politician should be able to illegally abuse their power to try and interfere with our elections.
We have accurate and secure elections in Wisconsin because we trust local clerks, poll workers, and administrators to run them, not Donald Trump.

In 2023 and 2024 combined, there were only 2 Wisconsin farm bankruptcies.
In 2025, that number skyrocketed to 16.
If we want to continue to be America’s Dairyland, we have to stop this — and that starts with Donald Trump ending this reckless trade war.
