The narration continues, “there’s something weirdly comforting about an unknowable evil, beyond our human understanding.” In the fourth panel, we cut back to Emily on her couch, eating Cup Noodle and looking at the phone that sits next to her, going off with alerts about ICE in different states. The narration concludes “it somehow makes sense to feel helpless against a cosmic entity or monster—versus the helplessness against very fathomable, very human evil.”
