Pretty alright game, I can see where Cuphead gets its gameplay style from. The difficulty is insane, but it controls mostly smoothly. I'm a big fan of the art direction, even if the presentation is very firmly stuck in the 90s. Music's pretty bangin too.

I don't want to be scared! But for the past, erm, 3-ish years, I've been heavily avoidant of many types of people I come across. Many of them remind me of ex-friends that have hurt me. My apologies! I'm doing my best to get over it, but lately the memories have been swamping me. I'll be okay.

The thing is, I'm scared. The types of people who engage in that scare me. I'm eternally terrified someone's going to lash out at me, because that's all they would do back in the old days. I've been very fundamentally hurt by people like this. So if I give you the cold shoulder for this, I'm sorry.

I don't miss the constant leftist political infighting, or the queer infighting, or the constant fandom discourse that started showing up after the Tumblr exodus... but if I want those now I don't have to go far on this site.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
