A news article about Windows 12 with ads plastering every aspect of the screen
Friends, are we seriously taking tech news from THIS source? C'mon.
Having managed a few software engineering teams now, I have some thoughts on in-person vs remote:
Whoa. Android 17 is including a new API for passing application state between devices, similar to Apple's Continuity features.
Excited to see how this will integrate into Android Desktop et al
Incredibly hyped to announce Schema Benchmarks, a project I've been steadily working on in collaboration with @fabianhiller.com!
It aims to provide a central and transparent resource for many of the metrics that matter for schemas, including bundle size and runtime performance ๐
My DMs are open if you wanna chat more about it!
We're using it for @playfulprogramming.com and I'm using it on a new project of mine
Hire @ladybluenotes.dev! She's been a major force in both SolidJS & TanStack. Her capabilities are out in the open for everyone to see.
And if that weren't enough, she's got a solid professional closed-source history backing that work.
Seriously, the time I've spent working w/ her has been a joy!
In theory; sure. Pragmatically, NPM (even PNPM/Yarn/et al) doesn't cooperate that well doing what you're describing.
Plus, download sizes would be much larger for any given package
๐คฏ That's awesome!!!!
(I joke, but wild to think about the scope of it all. Thanks for reminding / sharing! <3 )
Great - I just HAD to fix a bug. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ Sorry, everyone's email!
Like 30 emails from GitHub actions and NPM
POV you work on large-scale OSS projects and made a single patch release:
For sure, but for now get rest!
โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ Happy to have convos with anyone with any feedback along the way

Git GUI support needs help here too. No SmartGit ARM64 for Linux and GitKracken breaks in Parallels for ARM64 :(
Seems like Windows isn't the only place that ARM still feels underbaked from community support.
- No Google Chrome Linux ARM64
- Docker Desktop still looks for QEMU AMD64, so that doesn't work
- Ghostty doesn't work under Parallels due to OpenGL issues
TanStack Form with 1,040,468 weekly downloads
@tanstack.com Form just hit 1M downloads a week on NPM! ๐คฏ
So grateful to have such a strong community response to a project I work on. Thank you!
Access: granted
During the evaluation process for our hosting provider, I asked a peer of mine what options he thought I should use given our requirements.
Without hesitation "Fly" came to his mind; I had to chuckle because we were already well down that path.
Their support is deeply appreciated.

This weird ass expression I made
Thanks for sharing THAT @jason.energy - is this retribution for all the bad jokes I made that weekend? ๐
This is mentioned in a the thread, but this joint effort means that we now have nearly ONE AND A HALF MILLION WORDS on our website today ๐คฏ
I cannot begin to express how excited I am to work together more closely with @santoshyadav.dev, Lars, and the rest of the TiL team.
Here's to the future! ๐ฅ
Congrats! Huge fans of Vitest and Storybook alike!
@dev.to if we change an organizations' username, does it redirect links to the old org username?
Windows settings for the MX Brio webcam and a Neofetch to prove that it's a GPD Win Max 2 hardware
Welp... This is annoying
I used some tricks to extract the NPU + Win drivers from a @frame.work, then Copilot + Opus to reverse engineer the ability to apply those drivers to my GPD Win Max 2..
But it doesn't have the features I thought it had (background replacement), so I did all of this for not
