Italy, falling short to England by 30, but putting one hell of a fight. Amazing world cup debut
I also learnt that the world cup commentary is happening in Japanese and Portuguese....had no idea cricket was booming in Japan and Brazil π€―
That's one advantage on the pixel...90% go to spam
The associate teams have really come out to play & narrowing the gap with the established teams.
Nepal falling short by 4 to Eng

is anyone else implementing MLS encryption or is it just Google and eventually apple for RCS chats. #mls #cryptography

update - Windows, Linux and MacOS are working fine with the Caldigit TS4. DisplayPort issues that I was seeing with Linux went away after running fwupdmgr, though I wish I could tell what I did exactly to get it working.
It's more troublesome when using the dock, but it works fine when plugged directly into the PC. I was hoping to just use the Thunderbolt cable to swap between the PC and laptop, which it does, despite that DisplayPort quirk #oneCableToRuleThemAll
waking the pc up from sleep causes the dp to only see 60hz on the monitor connected from the dock. Replugging the DisplayPort sets everything back properly
After a lot of scientific unplugging/plugging back in, rebooting and authorization, the USB4 port on a Beelink does output video via the caldigit TS4s DisplayPort. You can get a dual display setup using the HDMI port on the beelink and the DisplayPort on the dock
Mastodon and thread numbers can be a bit blurry. For eg I was initially following you on your threads account on mastodon before switching over to your mastodon account.
TIL that every bluesky account has an RSS feed ....simply tack on /rss at the end of a profile to get their accounts feed bsky.app/profile/%3Cy...
Oddly enough it's in a few theaters right now

Another thing that caught my eye
MLS: The protocol for secure RCS messaging is implemented in Rust and will be included in the Google Messages app in a future release.
"We are seeing a 1000x reduction in memory safety vulnerability density compared to Androidβs C and C++ code...with Rust changes having a 4x lower rollback rate and spending 25% less time in code review, the safer path is now also the faster one."

isnt this the same thing as Apples private compute?
GNOME Mutter Now "Completely Drops The Whole X11 Backend" - https://www.phoronix.com/news/GNOME-Mutter-Drops-X11
We made MLS more decentralized! We are excited to share DMLS that brings fork resilience to the MLS protocol, solving a key challenge in distributed systems while maintaining Forward Secrecy.
This work was made possible by @equalitie.bsky.social, who funded it as part of the Breakout program.
It took me an embarassingly long time to get used to the mac shortcuts as well. Once that happened though, going back n forth between both was easier.
Looks like @signal.org might be adding support for appimage in their builds based on this commit
github.com/signalapp/Si...
Does this extending support for desktop signal beyond Debian @meredithmeredith.bsky.social ?
Awesome, thank you π
what hardware are you running this on?

If this process of converting organs from one blood type to another can get refined and go wide, relatively soon, that'd be some amazingly good news. The immediate and downstream benefits would be enormous.
