Behold the Green and Gold!
I view LLMs similarly to Tony Starkβs J.A.R.V.I.S. Tony Starkβs expertise was irreplaceable. J.A.R.V.I.S. couldnβt replace Tony, but it certainly made him a hell of a lot more productive.
That said, if someone with an advanced degree is unwilling to use an LLM in a situation where itβd be beneficial Iβd certainly encourage them to reconsider.
I canβt speak for other professions, but in software engineering expertise is key for effective use of LLMs. LLMs have certainly increased my productivity, but theyβve also produced some very bad responses to relatively straightforward topics that required my expertise to guild it back on track.

Taking a break from your social apps seems like a really healthy thing to do.
Hacker News even has a setting ("noprocrast") that lets you block yourself from using the site too much.
The legacy apps don't have this functionality because of their incentives (ads) but Bluesky apps could do it.
Itβs an open, decentralized social media platform that focuses photo-sharing. Similar to Bluesky in some ways, but it uses a different protocolβthe same protocol that Mastodon uses. It embraces user privacy and user data ownership. And I believe it avoids the use of closed, obtuse algorithms.

#Superman #trailer Thursday.
Detroit style is really good. (Although many people argue that Detroit and Chicago styles arenβt pizza but casserole. π) You canβt go wrong with any of them.
Based on these pictures, give me that Detroit style.
I prefer Chicago style first and Detroit second. But if I had to base my decision solely on these pictures, Iβm picking Detroit style.
In general:
1. Chicago
2. Detroit
3. New York
I can eat thin crust, but definitely not my preferred style.
There are a lot of software engineers who want to be paid like a senior software engineer without the responsibility of a senior software engineer.
Senior software engineers are not paid to simply do what they are directed to do. They're paid to take it a step furtherβto assess and provide feedback on what they're directed to do. They're paid to be proactive in identifying challenges and helping to conceive solutions to those challenges.
Happy Friday Bluesky.
I had no idea that Common dropped a new album this year, produced by Pete Rock. Yeah, Pete Rock still got it. π₯π₯π₯

Today, I was reminded once again that the biggest challenges organizations face are people problems, not technical problems.

Iβm sooooo behind on this series. Time to pick it back up.

I stopped drinking sodas several days ago, and these daily headaches are annoying . . .
Happy Monday Bluesky. Itβs a rainy morning here in the DMV.
