Ace, thanks. I see enough of them while vacuuming my flat; having one on the wall seems fitting. It’s lovely

Do you treat the completed works with anything to protect against errant fingers and other contact, prior to framing? I’ve never bought graphite art originals before

Live Nation Settlement Spurs Chaos in Court - The American Prospect The deal contains a fairly useless set of conditions. More than two dozen states vow to continue fighting.

OK, here's our story on the wild situation in Manhattan today where the Justice Department settled a monopolization case against Live Nation without telling its own lawyers.
We got one week of testimony that was going really badly for the company. But corruption won out.

I just listened to

Locomotive
You Could Be Mine
Estranged
Coma
November Rain

in the car. They were so unbelievably great then. Unique and unmistakeable. Probably my most-sung-along-to songs (also Rocket Queen and Night Train)

Abolish DST or (as parts of Canadia just did) abolish switching it on/off?

I guess it’s kinda the same thing

New Costco fan

“This photo is a great testament to the Costco hot dog/soda deal,” says Lisa Wissman, of Fishers, Indiana, a longtime Costco member and proud new grandmother. “The hot dog is about the same length as my new grandson Archer!”

just found out America's third largest magazine is Costco Connection and its circulation is nearly 16 million 🤯

also it features stuff like size comparisons of babies and hotdogs

Every single time I arrive home. Belly rubs required! #cats

Wish you could do more things with her. Like randomly driving around and watching the city happen around you

The mod where you can take chooms (not just Johnny) on the rollercoaster is cool tho

After 6 months of texts/calls/emails/forms/support requests, the dark cloud with teeth is officially my cat.

Still trying to sort out Willie’s paperwork.

What a mess.

Note: ZERO blame attributed to any level of government/their staff/systems; they all did their jobs just fine and were helpful.

Attempting #cyberpunk2077 “somewhat damaged” mission again but going to bed before the extra-scary bits.

Last time I tried this it left me jittery and on edge literally all night and I couldn’t sleep. Had to take a day off.

Want the platinum steam trophy, then to never attempt it ever again, ever.

Much-loved former colleague — one of the top3 best people I’ve ever worked with — sketched me on the tablecloth at my farewell lunch when I left Fairfax.

It took 2 years but eventually convinced him to follow me, and he’s still at that place now :-)

What’s the home-charging situation like in apartment buildings over there?

Are there rules requiring building management to approve/install charging infrastructure?

I imagine it to be a pretty thankless stream of work?

Management structures/tendencies aggravate that difficulty of maintenance also.

eg. Product orgs insisting on always prioritising features over bugfixes/patching, and insisting on being empowered to micromanage engineering

Consistently the most toxic people IME

Looks like there’s an sneaky bonus rain on the way for people who only looked at the 64km Terrey Hills radar, not 128km, and thought it was safe 🤭

#sydney peeps: where can I get, to quote one of my favourite films, “a pretty fucken good milkshake”? Just vanilla, nothing fancy wanted.

Hard Rock Cafe in Pyrmont was my old standard (really the only reason to go there IMO), but of course is long gone. I haven’t had anything that compares since

Don’t apologize to me.

It’s your customers that deserve apologies.

Getting the impression that you have understood nothing here. I’m done

I wasn’t arguing for over- (or under-) design anywhere

I’m just saying that deriding customers like that is classic toxic techbro behaviour and you should grow the hell up and try genuinely listening* to them instead

* this means they talk, uninterrupted while you shutup and take careful notes
