Figma’s AI tools just leveled up—marking a bold move into the AI app builder space.

Go from prompt to code/backed prototype, tweak the design or code, and publish as a live web app.

Entering the race with Bolt, Lovable, v0, Replit, Cursor, and more.

🌐 Figma Sites

Figma enters a new space, competing with Framer and Webflow. You can now publish designs as live websites, with CMS features coming soon.

It may take time to mature, but the gap between design and code is clearly closing. Exciting times!

🐝 Figma Buzz

New tools to speed up and automate branding and marketing asset creation.

Haven’t explored it much yet, but it definitely feels like Figma’s answer to Canva. The race is on:)

Auto Layout in Figma worked like CSS Flexbox, great for most UI needs. But now, Figma also supports CSS-style Grid layouts for more complex designs. Excited to try it out!

Another simple and powerful graphic tool to cut down on repetitive manual work.

🖼️ Fills and effects

Now you can add generative texture details to vector, directly in Figma. More creative flexibility, no need for PNG textures when SVG does the job!

🤩 Text on a path

No more hacky plugins, now you can place text on any path directly in Figma.

🖋️ Enhanced vector editing

Figma’s now used beyond UI, by graphic designers and illustrators too. The community has long wanted better vector tools, and now we’ve got them: lasso, shape builder,
multi-edit, and more for precise, detailed illustrations.

🖍️ Draw tools

FigJam was great for quick sketches, wireframes, and team alignment since 2021, but it always felt separate from the main design flow.

Now, Draw mode bring that functionality directly into Figma Design files! Excited to try it out!

I rebuilt the app in Expo (because I prefer working in React and cross-platform).

At first I struggled with performance, but after some optimizations, damn, React Native can be buttery smooth!

I'm prototyping a TUI inspired bookmarks tool for my website.

It uses React's useOptimistic and useTransition hooks to create instant-feeling database updates.

Also experimenting with a single monospace font size and using "ch" and "rem" units for character-based UI spacing.
