The weirdest thing is Im normally too hype to even play first soldier, I had it sitting at chapter 2 because I got too anxious and excited when I wanted to play it. Binged it last night for no reason, got richly rewarded with an update today.

I think it puts him on even footing with Cloud whose agency is always grey and hazy, with Angeal as his respective anchor. I like the mirror in them both a lot and how different their choices are.

Very fair! I definitely prefer what it was, but I always suspected that the global calamity was truly global and would have touched all corners of the planet as a festering rot, and I'm delighted to see how things shook out.
