engaging in good faith and trying to explain stuff properly helps make this place much better, but you can see how it sometimes goes
I wish understanding nuance were real
hi!!! welcome to The Internet
people of all sorts exist here. some of them have Very Strong opinions, and would prefer to hold onto their beliefs
I really get the devs, especially the more technical folk, wanting to be open and transparent about stuff
I wish people would listen and take nuance and greater detail into account, I really wish they would
I want my edit button requests back
can we have people asking about an edit button again, rather than all this current nonsense, please?
we've had outline tags (the way Tumblr has them) supported for well over a year, we just don't have the user interface for them yet ;;
maybe one day
I'm sorry to break it to you, but you might be in group B

Art of a clouded leopard holding a banner in its mouth that says "Art is a Way of Survival" on the back of a green hooded sweatshirt.
Represent artists everywhere with my "Art is a Way of Survival" hoodie -- also available as a t-shirt. It has a clouded leopard on it and was one of my first designs since making my Ko-fi Membership.

behold, the sketchbook store!
I experienced myself and Crow as being identical birds made of light, merged into and out of one another, enveloped in love and bliss.

I'm pretty sure this somewhat aligns with facebook's vision of what the metaverse should look like, probably

A fake screencap-style illustration featuring two robot dragons, with one in the front (Crimson) claiming she has killed a robot, whereas the one in the back (Laser) responds he has taken out 20, to which Crimson makes a sarcastic reply claiming they have themselves a serial killer
Serial killer
I could eep for centuries this morning
this is not even the final version of it (my mistake), so Iβll post the final one here
you can go out into the forest and listen to the birds
I'm unfortunately not really familiar with the options for logo design commissioning, and, yeah, it would be a shame if a fiverr commission turned out to be just a cleaned up genAI logo.
I do appreciate your willingness to find a way to commission a proper logo, though!
My perspective may be somewhat skewed, since I do both software dev and art, but if you really want a basic placeholder logo, I feel like even a simple text design can do the trick.
Even a simple arrangement of some text in Inkscape feels like a much more genuine placeholder than using genAI.
I see a software library logo as something extra, an additional effort to stand out. Using a disposable generative asset as a custom logo feels like it goes against that "additional effort" part - it's just slapped onto the project for the sake of having a custom logo, regardless of quality.
I really appreciate the response!
My opinion is that it's better to have a basic logo (or even no project logo) than filling that spot with a generative placeholder. A logo is not necessary for a software library to function, so why fill that spot with genAI?
same.....
immediately thought of this lol
