If you don't need external access from the internet it is possible, but if you require it to be public then you would need dynamic DNS and SSL.

You can go the simple route and access forgejo directly over HTTP or self-signed HTTPS. Then you don't need DDNS, caddy, tailscale, etc..

This is why mine is personal use only, I've tried sharing services with family or friends before and it's always such a pain.

Really the only downside is when you reboot or update your host your router goes down too.

I'd say the Intel would be better due to having Quicksync for Plex transcoding. But tbh for most homelabs an i9 is extreme overkill.

Plausible is my favorite, so simple and easy to use.
