Friends, there is still so much we can accomplish together. I still believe in the power of us – and in the magic of what happens when we come together. There’s more in store for us yet.

Friends, there is still so much we can accomplish together. I still believe in the power of us – and in the magic of what happens when we come together. There’s more in store for us yet.
My prayer is that our city will again find our true north that protects and restores a democracy that affirms dignity, safety, and opportunity for everyone who calls Minneapolis home.
I called Jacob Frey this afternoon to congratulate him, wish him well, and remind him that the residents of Minneapolis need him to show up better and differently given the challenges arrayed against us.
We can still build the city we deserve together – it’ll just look different than we hoped. We are still called to hold our leaders accountable, to support and protect our neighbors, and to live and work with integrity and care.
Mostly, I’m so grateful for you, the people of this city, for your support. Your care for each other and our city is why I got into this race. Minneapolis is abundant with ingenuity, compassion and talent and we were going to need all of that to build a city we can be proud of.
When I started this campaign, I made a commitment to myself and to the people of this city that I would run with the values we share: honesty, integrity, transparency and care. I’m proud of the campaign that we’ve run, and I’m so thankful everyone who has held me to those values.
Anyone who knows me knows I can't go to Uptown without stopping at Magers & Quinn – even on Election Day.
Polls are still open until 8 pm friends! Go vote!
Join me tonight to celebrate all the hard work that staff, volunteers, and supports have put into this campaign. All are welcome!

I just cast my vote – it was a run but very surreal experience to vote for myself for the first time.
If you haven’t voted yet, please get out there before polls close today at 8 pm. Today we get to choose the Minneapolis we deserve.

The polls close at 8 today. You can find information about how and where to vote here: pollfinder.sos.mn.gov
The polls are officially open, Minneapolis!
Today you can choose a different course for our city. You can choose a mayor who cares as much about your city and your neighbors as I know you do.
We deserve better, Minneapolis. Rank me first when you vote today so we can do better – together.
I'm proud to have endorsements from city council members, county commissioners, state legislators, small business owners, teachers, advocates, students, writers, non-profit leaders, and more.
Remember to vote today or tomorrow – and to rank me first!

We stopped by Taste of Africa today and I left with both some delicious Ethiopian food and an endorsement from owner Eskander Hasso! Small businesses like Eskander's are part of what make our neighborhoods so great – and they deserve our support.
I'm so touched that I've been endorsed by local citizen journalist, @taylordahlin.com. Taylor's coverage of the campaign and commitment to holding our leaders accountable is such an asset to our city.

We've had a great weekend knocking on doors in every part of the city – and we're going to keep knocking on doors until the polls close on Tuesday.
We've got more shifts tomorrow and Tuesday – want to join us?

A screenshot of an article that says: Endorsements Mayor:DeWayne Davis This is our first election after the switch to a “strong mayor” form of government (a campaign that was funded 100% by Jonathan Weinhagen at the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, never forget). It’s time for a leader who lives up to the strong mayor title. This makes me feel like an old man to say — my first choice for mayor is about character and integrity. We need a mayor who inspires trust, someone who can unite the city in hard times. DeWayne Davis is the kind of steady, humble, experienced leader who can move us beyond the last five exhausting years of ego, grandstanding, and finger-pointing. Frey’s lack of any endorsements from Hennepin County commissioners and state legislators representing Minneapolis is telling. The political dynamic that exists among city leaders is not an “everyone else” problem. It’s a Frey problem. It’s time for a fresh start.
I’m honored to be endorsed by @wedge.live!

And here are some other priorities I want to focus on with you.

Minneapolis deserves a mayor who will work for every part of our city, one who will focus on outcomes, not promises. We deserve a mayor with vision, one who will work cooperatively with everyone, even if we sometimes disagree.
Here’s some of what I hope we can work on – together.
In these last few days, we're working hard to activate the winning coalition we've built over the last year. We need all the support we can get to make sure that we finish with a win. Whether its $5 or $500, anything you can give right now makes a difference.

We're out here knocking on doors and talking to neighbors – and we will be ever day until Election Day! There's still time to sign up for shifts in neighborhoods across the city. Will you join us?
Check them out and RSVP here: www.mobilize.us/dewayneformi...
Have you made your plan to vote yet?
Tuesday is Election Day, but the polls are open for early voting today, tomorrow and Monday. Whichever way you choose to vote, remember to rank me first for Mayor of Minneapolis so we can build the city we deserve – together.
Mariah Samuels did everything right, and we failed her. These "gaps" in care impact real people’s lives. We need a safety ecosystem that is focused meeting neighbors' needs to prevent and respond to crime. We owe more to our victims of domestic violence.

At a time when our trans neighbors are under attack, we need to be doing all we can to protect and support them. I'm honored to be endorsed by @transequality.bsky.social because I will work to make sure Minneapolis is a place where our trans siblings can thrive.
We have dozens of volunteer opportunities coming up – we're going to be on the phones and knocking on neighbors' doors until polls close on Tuesday.
We need folks to sign up for a shift (or more!) to get folks to the polls. Can I count on you to join us?

"People in Minneapolis truly care for our neighbors, our neighborhoods and our city...We have the potential to solve the pressing issues our city faces, if we elect an experienced, compassionate mayor who shares our care for each other."

I'm grateful to have the support of neighbors in every part of this city, people who are ready for leadership that reflects our shared values.
I hope you'll rank me first for Mayor of Minneapolis on November 4 because we deserve better.
Minneapolis deserves an experienced, caring mayor that reflects the best of our city: our values, our principles, and openness to new ideas. Last night, I made it clear: I'm running because I believe that I am the right person for the job. I hope you think so too.
"As I talked to Dr. Davis...I felt a clear sense that Minneapolis was being offered a clear choice...that could mean an off-ramp from the anger and division of the last several years, and a choice of a steady hand to bring our city together..."
