It would be nice if we could require("adb") and query it with lua functions and finally get list of devices in some nice neat lua table.
Currently very tempted to make LABt speak adb protocol. But that feels like bloat. So i will probably fork adb project and make it speak LABt. This is partially because I was working on one of the plugins today and to get list of connected devices, i had to parse std-output of adb.
I am very confident with LABt core right now. I am currently shifting focus towards a plugin right now. Specifically gitlab.com/lab-tool/plu... . So maybe check the plugin system and see what you could pull off. It is fully extensible. And its at the plugins where the magic happens.
I know A.S has alot of various generic features that we may never recreate but we are keeping it like that by design. It provides what you need to build a project and you can choose your editor and how to build it. My current setup with helix editor totals around 250mb with full LSP capabilities.
It is designed to be independent of any IDE. My plan right now is to write an extension that would allow for a drop in replacement in any existing android project.
Hello again. I had been working on a lightweight alternative to android studio. Here is a breakdown of why and introduction to some of its features.

It is still in beta and FOSS.
Please share to your android devs.

Yeah, microsoft has been hard at work alienating its user base.

Very lucky I dont have to install drivers for peripherals because things just work. If it dont work == Bad day.
Today this is just equivalent to me carrying around an entire desktop setup. The monitor, the keyboard and the system unit. If you have a minipc you could even add a printer to equal this.

I once deleted a file, then it mysteriously reappeared. That's when I discovered who my enemies were. They were out to get me.
"Hi.., We are getting everything ready for you." Then proceeds to activate all spyware and bloatware for the next 30 minutes. "..Just a moment."
The "no plugins" part is very important to me because I am easily exited and overwhelmed by customizability. I end up spending more time customizing rather than being productive. It has everything I ever needed. I can even run a debugger and step through code easily.
I was using nvim for a while. I installed so many plugins that it eventually slowed down for me. I discovered helix editor. It is now my primary editor. Has LSP support, vimlike bindings and no plugins. Just simple and works.

Terminal showing LABt plugin command after successful plugin installation.
I think I managed to make the plugin system to behave the way I wished. It now uses git for plugin management. So now I do not need to have a central server to manage user plugins. Cool stuff.
Not scared of spiders but that thing has Australia in its name.
Id innocently watch movies and be entertained and conclude my day, the moment I go to checkout what other people think about it on the internet, I'm always surprised on why I did not notice any of what they are complaining about during the show.
We could fit an entire continent there.
I just want a decentralized plugin management for my project, is that too much to ask.
I am trying to design a plugin version management for my android build tool and didn't know it is this stressful.
I would like to just have
`labt plugin gitlab.com/lab-tool/labt-java@latest`
same way golang does it but it seems that I may need a centralized repository for all plugins.

Minecraft is sometimes scary for me, Im not going past that. I did play Inscryption and thats how far i have ventured. I dont actively seek horror games unless I am tricked into playing one (like gmod).
