Yeah I've known ppl who tape a sheet of paper on the surface!
I personally don't like it but I think that's a viable option

I just put an ipad paperlike cover on the active area and it quite works well
There's always the alternative of buying aftermarket steel nibs or even larger packs of "normal" plastic nibs

only did an hour of work today but I will be incredibly productive tomorrow (determinant)

Knowing Adobe they will keep on going after installers and stuff, just like they did with Animate Archive a couple years ago and lots of links from the internet archive even if it's CS3
Especially since "it's to protect the Adobe Brand"

Just got an 11" Galaxy Tab and I think it beat my old iPad and the Magic Drawing Pad on performance alone
Let alone I added a Paperlike protector and changed the SPen nibs to hard ones
Also it comes with 6 months of CSP EX included!
(And most importantly, I CAN SIDELOAD STUFF IN IT)

Showing my invention! Desk with an Altoids tin can, watercolors on a chewing gum packaging, a sponge on the lid to dry my water brush, and a doodle by it's side

The 2 doodles I did while testing brush pens and water colors, the doodle on the left is a character suffering saying "I don't wanna work!" In various languages around the page, and the other one is just a green haired girl posing on a rectangle border for sum reason lmao, also try out the Zebra Brush pens! They are waterproof, but don't feel as good as the Pilot Shunpitsu Waterproof dual brush pen, that one's great, also you could technically refill it with a transparent tube and a syringe, even if it's "disposable", as well as every pen as long as it has that transparent grip thing at the tip, like the Pilot Varsitys, or Pilot V5s. Kuretake Fudekogochis and Pilot Bravo!s too even if they're not really waterproof you can refill them all later with something like the D'Atramentis Archive Black Ink or the Platinum Carbon Black Ink, they're quite expensive but them being ink bottles makes them last fucking forever, I've been refilling my Varsity pen since highschool with the same Waterman Black Ink I bought at the time, and the bottle is still around 1/4 full

I made a travel watercolor palette out of an Altoids tin can and a chewing gum packaging, so here's a bit of watercolor doodles

The only thing keeping me out of using the iPad for doodles is how hard it is to watch "free" stuff on it
