the last couple of months has really driven home the reality that large swathes of the population truly only see children as property and not human beings.

I do not typically speak on such matters - however a bill like this passed in my area/other areas of Canada.

My childhood would've been slightly less traumatic if I'd understood that 95% or more of the adults in my life had no interest in justice they just didn't want to have to deal with the problem and a child who complained about the problem became the new problem.

My expectations for these people were at rock-bottom when I should have been digging.
