I was a Medieval and Renaissance Studies major... my takeaway from that was that for almost the entirety of Western history, the "government" and the "church" were both just gangsters all the way down. This is my first experience with it firsthand and I'll say, I don't care for it a bit.

Something that really helped me was realising you should be holding yourself up with your core, not putting any weight on the handlebars at all. Hurts (in a good way) until you develop the muscles. But now when I’m in form I can sit at a desk chair upright, without leaning on the back, indefinitely.

We're at a point where there are no cheap options to retreat to and no price points that guarantee quality. Every run-down studio is $1400, every fast food meal is $17, every luxury condo has peel-n-stick tiles, every $300 pair of boots falls apart. Endless expensive mediocrity.
