I dont recognize the people here, and my focus is now on my family, which i didnt have during the time when i used to hang out here. And it’a totally fine.
And I’m having a walk down memory lane kind of.
I used to hang out at the bars of Andra Långgatan in Gothenburg. But I’ve switched residential cities during a period but i still work in Gothenburg.
However, the system is bow goong to be (almost) a national system. From handling students in 2 of the big city regions we’re now going to make it a national system.
I really believe in it but i also feel kind of sad that my team is going to get broken up. So tonight I’m having a couple of beers.
For me this means to stop some of my developer tasks and move into a role with more focus on administration.
It feels both good and bad, since i know the outcome is good. But i also feel kind of empty?
I work with a system that handles high school admission in some regions in Sweden.
I’ve had a weird day at work today. Working as a contractor in IT, for almost one year my client has been full on modernizing an application. It has been a slow but steady ride so far.
But now a decision has been made to stop our modernization work and just focus on maintaining the legacy system.
