This war isn’t an emergency that requires us to give the president more latitude. It’s a monstrosity that requires that judges, lawmakers and above all citizens work to preserve the integrity of elections and the republic.
The US and Iran have obviously not been at war for 47 years, as regime propagandists tell us. What has been going on for 47 years is the Saudi-Iranian regional proxy war. So the propaganda defines us as a Saudi proxy state.
C’mon, people. Look at your Kremlin style guide. The phrase is “special military operation.” Not all of you are getting this right.
If we examine the origins the the war on Iran, we get an inkling of a closed domain of international oligarchs, exploiting the state’s power and patriotic sentiment, while creating a world order in which the American state is much weaker. An oligarchical corridor.

Judging from the prose, the Pentagon appears to be using AI to announce the death of soldiers. If it’s not AI, it’s a person who simply does not care.
This is interesting. But it is more interesting that Trump is rewarding Moscow for doing this by helping Russia sell oil, repeating Russian propaganda points, and senselessly burning through weapon stocks.
