The US and Iran have obviously not been at war for 47 years, as regime propagandists tell us. What has been going on for 47 years is the Saudi-Iranian regional proxy war. So the propaganda defines us as a Saudi proxy state.

Judging from the prose, the Pentagon appears to be using AI to announce the death of soldiers. If it’s not AI, it’s a person who simply does not care.
