Your TestFlight qualifies for every version, but you don't have use the beta on each device.
You'll mostly just run into UI issues in the "old" version since it doesn't have a lot of the new features, but all your data should continue syncing.

Sofa's new podcast player comes with deep support for chapter selection.
The player automatically adapts to show which chapter is currently playing, how much time is remaining, chapter artwork (if available), and provides controls to jump between chapters.
