The tide was out, so the aroma was there. The legacy of pulp mills and sawmills. The pulp mill is closed now, but the massive amounts of sawdust dumped from the sawmills created a sulfury slurry in the bay and lasts lifetimes. When the tide is out far it comes back with a vengeance.

Thank you - I appreciate your thoughtful comments. I'm exploring some philosophical ideas about time, space, perception and reality with the ICM work. A fast shutter freezes the image almost precisely. Slow it down and we see things we don't realize happen within the span of 1/8 of a second.
