Trans rights are human rights. The election was not stolen. Death before detransition. Melt ICE. End the genocide. End the invasion. End the dictatorship. Divest from AI. Computer toucher, rock music enjoyer, π³οΈββ§οΈπΊ pfp is what I WANT to look like...

In case you forgot. You are worthy of love. You are worthy of joy. You are worth taking the time to take care of yourself, you'll feel better when you do.
Putting people in cages instead of feeding them is a policy choice
in today's news, I've been added to a block/mutelist by someone that a bunch of people I know follow. Why? No idea. I have this person muted because they're a trans bigot but the impact is still there
"built different" usually means "not up to code"
parent teacher conferences right now as a teacher of multilingual kiddos was
β’ handing out red KYR cards
β’ dropping off food, books, and comfort items to families in hiding with increased ICE activity
β’ hearing kids' relatives HERE LEGALLY were taken and the lawyers can't get them out
π§΅
β’ families of kids I have known for years self-deporting and not being able to say goodbye
β’ parents breaking down because in a two income household they are down to one income while the other hides and they are struggling to make ends meet
β’ parents worried about SNAP benefits getting cut
β’ parents learning that their kids were crying in the counselor's office scared of ICE
β’ getting multiple messages on ICE verifier chats that calls were made in multiple nearby cities
β’ a friend texting me that ICE was at that moment at a school in a neighboring town we both have folks at
And what doesn't get mentioned in this piece: this will almost certainly push and promote more right-wing garbage into everyone's feed as a result.
is your child accessing information?
Also, the app would warn you when you join a net that doesn't hide your IP address.
Then the "only" things to figure out are jump-in voice chats and grouping/spaces...
I think you'll still have to set up a password or key with the server, although the key stuff can probably be transparently handled by clients. I imagine an app that feels like Discord to the end user, that you just sign in with your ATProto account. π§΅
a nice ircv3 extension would be ATProto identification, and servers would make a mask from the DID and set your nick to your handle (you can probably override this but not to a domain). π§΅
People did warn me when I was younger to pursue high-paying fields, and I always shrugged them off. I thought, βIβm not a materialistic person, I donβt want to live in luxuryβIβll be fine making a modest salary. Moneyβs not important to me.β
Turns out you need a shitload of money just to be broke.
Me, sowing: fuck, this isn't doing anything, this is gonna be a tiny ass tree forever
Me, reaping: Hell yes! I've never felt better under the shade of this big tree!

Device messages are often (roughly) the same between accounts, so that'll be all one chat with the specific account name shown somewhere obvious. Saved messages... I think it's going to be tabbed to save space in the list.
once you open a chat, your other accounts are not even considered (the saved/device merged chats are going to be the only exceptions). It only considers the account that owns the chat. IT JUST WORKS.
Five conversations in a list: Hailey (2 minutes ago), Saved messages (10/14), Device messages (10/10), Saved messages (0 min ago), and Device messages (10 min ago).
my #chatmail #deltachat app now does something notable that the official app doesn't: unified inbox (all your chats from all your profiles, in one list)
two big things though: I have to merge the device/saved chats across accounts, and I also have to reorder the list in the app
Profile pages on Leaflet itself will also help make it more independent of Bluesky, which is something I want because Bluesky is... well...
(anisota is nice here, but Leaflet posts don't seem to show up in feeds... it DOES support rendering them which is really nice!)
I should clarify that by "feeds" I'm referring to flexible Bluesky-style feeds, something more powerful than the existing Reader and Discover pages (but, for the most part, closest to Reader). Mostly because I'd like to use it "in place of" a Bluesky client on desktop.
Feeds, notifications, and non-post pages are the big things Leaflet (publications) is missing. (Being able to repost into publications would also be nice.)
individual posts in a publication.
Damn this 300 character limit is so limiting!
* actually, my memory is foggy -- the original idea was a fictional newspaper issued at a specific time, so that the events of one issue follow another, but within an issue, they're all at roughly the same time. So each issue is a post on the publication, and within an issue are subpages are π§΅
* part of the reason I wanted to do this was to make non-fiction articles stand out more, so that the fiction shows up less than the non-fiction articles. I could do this by grouping the fiction (short-stories) into little collections.
I was thinking about setting up different "issues" of stuff, like releases of a newspaper or anthologies. I had tried to use subpages before, knowing I could do it in Leaflet docs, but I found I couldn't do it in a Publication post. And now I can! This is great. Thanks for this!
