I think the single most under-utilized aspect of Godot by newer devs is the @tool script concept. You can make scripts so that they, in real-time, update the editor itself! Is that not insane? I have one now which updates the positions of nodes in a fight scene, so that I don't have to run the game,

an absolute crapload of comments to things. You know what that does? It blows up the number of tokens you're using. And it does so several fold: every time it sends something back to the AI, it uses the tokens for the comments, in addition to any it gets back. It's exponential, and horrible.

This is probably the least of your worries with AI coding, but one of my problems is it always bloats your code with comments, which sounds stupid, but actually it uses more energy to burn the tokens by adding them, and then again by having to send them and maintain them. It's a smash and comment.

Part of therapy for my mom after my dad passed a few days ago is just having someone to watch soap operas with, but to be honest, the acting level has plummeted very badly. This isn't even remotely good anymore. Young and Restless? More like Old and Restless Leg Syndrome.

Despite my dad passing hours before my birthday, I'm honoring him by utilizing his method of cleaning: throw stuff out, ask questions later to see if it was important. So far, it's more cathartic to do not in my own house than in it. 🤣

That's fair and a very good point! I know they're supposed to be working on a paid asset library, but I haven't heard about it in some time. Perhaps I'll ask about it again.

Not impossible, but unless you're a pro, and/or have experience eliciting money from folks when the circumstances make it free even if they don't contribute anything (i.e. super-well-established and professional level), it just won't happen. My #Firebase plugin makes zero money...

The major issue I see with #GodotEngine being a wildly popular, open-source game engine is that it inspires most of its community to _also_ make everything they do free and open-source, and then no one can make money to sustain themselves, or very little, anyway. It's an interesting conundrum.

It's almost my birthday, and I get to spend it taking care of a dying parent. That'll be my final whine on the subject!

Does Gemini have some sort of soft limit, where you give it too much context and it just starts blowing stuff up and forgetting to take names? Definitely seems like there's a bug somewhere. It can still proceed, so not a hard limit, but it's ugmo.
