if using slurs & implying that women are responsible for their own rapes is how normal people talk then I want someone better than normal.

That's what all the "Her laugh!" stuff was about. How dare she have a personality in public.

I think this is right, and also - not to be a broken record about this - but Harris was a 60 year old woman having the nerve to think she had something to contribute. Nothing America resents more than women who don't know their place - & unfortunately that goes double for Black women.

Gas has gone up 80 cents a gallon in my neighborhood in just 10 days. That means it costs $18 dollars more to fill up the average tank.

This will drive up the price of literally everything.

"Get used to higher gas prices" is such a wild message to land on for an incumbent party heading into the midterms

I was a child, but yes. Didn’t do much for Carter’s popularity, iirc

Trump nominee withdraws after senators press him on remarks about Jews, Israel and 'white culture' Jeremy Carl cited a lack of support from GOP senators in withdrawing his nomination for assistant secretary of state.

Have the Senate GOP learned that we need qualifications besides racism to confirm nominees for important posts?

Nah. They just got caught.

I don't expect basic intelligence from bluesky anymore but it's still deeply stupid that Democrats *rightly* saw a layup opportunity to put up a "keep gas cheap" bill that they know the GOP won't touch, they took it, and we're calling them braindead collaborators for it.

11.03.2026 02:34 πŸ‘ 86 πŸ” 15 πŸ’¬ 4 πŸ“Œ 0

"In response to Trump's pointless war of choice, we're trying desperately to save *your* wallet from being caught in the crossfire by proposing a suspension of the gas tax" is something that literally everyone knows makes Dems look good and the GOP look atrocious. Everyone but us "Ball Knowers".

One thing is absolutely clear right now, in the early in-person vote so far, Republicans are ahead. A lot of Western, Republican-dominated localities have more votes so far than they did on the same day equivalent in 2025. There aren't any Spanberger-won localities running ahead

Something I want to put on everyone’s radar, ESPECIALLY if you live in Virginia.

Data suggests that *Republicans* are out early-voting Democrats in the Virginia redistricting referendum.

When it comes to Virginia, Chaz knows his stuff.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ELECTION, VIRGINIA DEMS!!!

I was going to say, not really, I like getting texts! But then I read more and, you get a LOT more texts than I do. Only about 6 people even have my number.

I suspect gender plays a part here. There's nothing America hates like an older woman thinking she matters.

This is to say: if you're an attorney who's hesitated to take on habeas cases because you think you lack the knowledge, or you're worried about whether you'll really help, I PROMISE you can make a difference. I'm just a dipshit with a 7-year-old laptop and a bad attitude. If I can do it, so can you.

This puts me at 10 people released. I filed my 1st habeas petition 29 days ago. I am an incredibly small-time, nobody lawyer who knew nothing about immigration law the day I submitted that case. I barely know any more today. I had never sued the federal government and now I've beaten them 10 times.

Katie Johnson filed her lawsuit in 2016, before Julie K. Brown and the Miami Herald made Epstein a household name by exposing his outrageous plea deal. And she hit on a lot of core details about Epstein's operation--massages, the town house, etc.

If two parties were identical in every respect except one was going to send a tomahawk missile into a school full of little girls and the other wasn’t, that’s actually still a substantive difference and you should vote for the better one
