This is hardly a unique observation, but based on the amount of "engagement" I get for saying something slightly off-the-cuff political or controversial compared to what I get for the creative work I actually put time, effort, love and energy into... it reminds me why I social media sucks so hard.

An independent web comic about fatherhood, running, video games, science, art, independence, integrity, imagination and just generally β¦ family adventure. This is Pi Day was published weekly onlineβ¦
I've been going through and trying to slowly restore my webcomic website. I drew a weekly (sometimes more frequent) comic strip from about 2017 to 2019 and published it. It was all online until it was hacked in 2021. I've been trying to get it all back up:

I've been doing some informal A/B testing between Bluesky and Threads, and this place is definitely more chill. I don't know why, so don't ask for analysis. I just know that I sometimes feel like I've got a firehose of gasoline directed at a hot flame when I post there, and here? Just people hangin.

Make something.

I donβt usually do corporate noodles but a shout out the @longandmcquade.bsky.social for excellent online customer service today and standing by their price matching policy. Iβm spending way too much on audio gear lately and they are definitely locking in as my dealer of choice.
