Outer Wilds, if you haven't played it yet, is one of the best games of all time. It's a fun space exploration game with a timeloop twist, and 90% of all game progress happens in your head, as you learn things about the universe and your situation.
Absolutely play it if you haven't yet.
I am beginning to suspect there is more to life than filling out customer satisfaction surveys.

Played Chants of Sennaar over the weekend. Fun little game! Loved the art, puzzles were fun, and a neat little story about connecting people.

Not related. I'm still planning on developing zb independently. π
I'm finishing my first week working at ngrok today. I'm excited to be looking at new challenges in dev tooling.

A photograph of the seminary gym in knives out. It has the same window.
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
Making smol games in Godot has been a happy place for me for the last couple years. It's really easy to bang something out, try out an idea, play with things. I'm glad making interactive art has gotten so much more accessible.
My GopherCon lightning talk on the Lua interpreter I built for zb is now up! #golang youtu.be/BVLgLZ6_ZHo
This has been a really cool year for mystery/puzzle games. I liked Blue Prince, Seance of Blake Manor, and Type Help. All of them nail their atmosphere perfectly.
I've been trying out Jujutsu for developing zb the last couple weeks. I'm impressed at how robust it is and how well it improves my workflow of lots of small, focused commits.
I applaud the PSF for standing firmly on principles.
Claire rocks. She helped me realize I could be loved for being myself, flaws and all. Thanks for being rad af, Jeph. π
co-signed. a robot might be able to type rote code faster than me, but *typing speed* is not the limiting factor in my effectiveness as a software engineer, and never has been.
*understanding* the code (and the pre-existing human and computational systems it interacts with) is the hard part.

I've received a lot of criticism for expressing my support, but what's more important is that all transgender people live happy lives.

Oh my god, just watched Kpop Demon Hunters with Zooey and the kiddo and that had NO business being as good as it was.
I see you hired the marketing firm responsible for xkcd.com/641/
the best part about gophercon was that nobody said "golang"
You rocked it. Great talk! π
Thank you! Looking forward to your talk. βΊοΈ

I'm giving a lightning talk at #GopherCon this afternoon about building a Lua interpreter in Go. If you're here, come see the lightning talks at 1:40p.
