Running services, e.g., PDSes, as non-profit organisations or co-op's is probably something that many ATmosphere devs could learn from the ActivityPub service operators.

Anarcho-capitalism is an ideology that entails stateless, unregulated capitalism. Some believe this system would maximize liberty and freedom. It would do the opposite. Corporations, much like states, have the capacity to behave oppressively. This is why democracy is necessary within both.
A 2016 metastudy of 102 samples representing 56,984 firms finds that employee ownership is positively associated with productivity.
These findings align with a growing body of research showing that businesses owned by their workers tend to be more productive than other companies.
Or they could form as cooperatives with both users & devs as stakeholders.
A study finds that shop-floor employee participation boosted productivity for establishments in Germany by an average of 28%. Businesses gained additional productivity advantages through teamwork, autonomous work groups, and less hierarchical organizational structures.

I agree w Nathan and support a lot of his efforts but I think very few things require the global agreement and friction public crypto/blockchains often require.
It makes logical sense and maybe things have changed enough since I kept track of the crypto world to make using it worth the downsides. 🤔

The main problem with this approach is that a popular post will have a huge scrolling list of pin replies everyone has to waste time scrolling through to get to actual replies.
